Building Permits
Building permits are required for everything from road repair, to refinishing your basement, to putting up a fence in your yard... and many other home and property improvements. It is important that you have a permit before starting the work!
The Town of Blooming Grove contracts with Independent Inspections to provide this service to its businesses and residents. The Independent Inspections representative who has been working with our town for many years is Dean Eppler. He is the person who can answer your questions and provide you with the permit you need to get the job done. If you aren't certain whether or not you need a building permit, Dean’s the man to call!
Dean Eppler can be reached at 608-576-6370. He also has office hours at the Town Hall, from 9:30 am to 10:30am on Wednesdays. You don’t need an appointment if you wish to stop by and see him.
Another note of interest: if you are putting an addition on your home, or putting up an unattached structure of any kind, you need to check with Dane County Zoning before you contact the building inspector. That phone number is 608-266-9083.
